Summer 2012 has been a very busy time for the GBS. On top of getting a lot of burgering done, I’ve been checking off a shortlist of 5 places that I had to get through before the vacation ended. That list started off at 4 places, but as time went, detailed accounts of an epic sandwich forced me to put one more item on my radar. So, for the third time this summer, I found myself at Parc Émilie-Gamelin, where the La Mangeoire would be located for the day.

This summer, I have a list of 4 non-burger places I have to try. Café Pavé is one of those places. Located in a very crowded culinary part of Montreal, it’s a relatively new presence in the city. Boasting a wide variety of sandwiches on its menu, it creates a new option for those busy workers on the go in the midst of the financial district.

If you read yesterday’s post, you’ll notice that now did 2 different sandwiches on the same day within mere hours of each other. Lately, I’ve been looking for every kind of gimmick sandwich possible. Since Subway has been advertising their bacon steak sandwich hardcore, so that compelled me to make this another priority.
