Whenever you think about the question of who has the best burger in the city of Montreal, one name always comes to mind. Regardless of any type of cuisine you like or follow, you cannot ignore what this particular place has done for the Montreal landscape. That place is affectionately known as La Paryse.

An interesting corner location more known for its selection of tartar. The place is nicely spaced and still packed after 1:00 PM. Service for the entire restaurant was tended by only one waitress.
Burger w/Blue Cheese
The burger contains tomatoes, greens, caramelized onions, and blue cheese. First of all, the taste was rather unique. Once you get past that, the taste of the burger is absolutely nice. Tasty to the end and not too hard to down. Though I warn you that you should have extra napkins if you want to avoid the greasiness of the burger. The fries were quite good with their inclusion to the complementary mayo dip. Notice the nice tiny pickles on top of the burger. One of the more unique burgers I’ve tried so far and worth a visit.

This restaurant replaced an old hot dog place. Recently opened, and catching a lot of press, this is the latest attempt at gourmet burgers in Montreal. Apparently, it is being run by chefs who used to work at big name restaurants.
When you enter the door, you order and you receive a number. When they call your number, you get your grub.
The staff is extremely friendly and show a genuine care for their customers. Get there early, or you’ll be waiting quite a while. The prices are also very good for the value of what you’re getting.
Bacon Cheeseburger w/Spicy Fries
The burger contains greens, tomatoes, caramelized onions, pickles, cheese, and bacon. First of all, at 5 dollars, this is a great value. I ordered the bacon-cheese and chose all the free upgrade ingredients. With all that, the burger is quite large and eating is a more enjoyable challenge mainly due to the great taste. The bacon was cooked just right for my liking. The beef was natural and tasty. This is definitely worth a try. I also want to note the spicy fries which tasted good and they share the same price as regular fries. All this, with a drink (+ FREE REFILLS) for under 11 dollars. You can’t beat that, ever.
