The timing was inevitable as our first ever trip to the Greater Metropolitain Area of Boston was coming to a close. With that, there was only time to get one more thing to eat and it was a stop by the Galleria in Cambridge that allowed me to see what the Cheesecake Factory was all about.

At the conclusion of the first day of our 48 hours towards Beantown, we settled into our hotel over in Andover, Massachusetts. Being a teacher and chaperone in a situation like this isn’t the easiest of things. Plus, one does not simply sleep in times like these. With that being said and having a complimentary breakfast in our bellies, we were off to Cambridge for our first of many stops during the last 8 hours in the Greater Boston Area.

It was only a matter of time that this Great Burger Search would find itself in a city where our greatest sports rivals are housed. But more importantly than that, the search goes to a city that showed us why Americans are strong. Within the heart of Quincy Market, Anthem Kitchen + Bar is the first ever Boston burger to take the Great Burger Search by storm.
Last month, this Great Burger Search expanded beyond the borders of Canada. The fact that so many burgers were consumed in such a short period of time created some logistical issues that they couldn’t all be posted at once. Normally, the burger that gets posted on a Sunday would have been done sometime within the previous week. But, with an astonishing 5 burgers in 4 short days, it would mean that this site’s content was settled for a month.

On every restaurant related bucket list, there’s that place that seems a little bit above reach. It’s that one place that is synonymous with power and extravagance. Every city has one and not just anyone can set foot inside. For 15 years, La Queue de Cheval has been putting forth a reputation for just that. For one brief moment in time, a little prohibition allowed yours truly to cross another item off that elusive bucket list.

A reputation is something that is very important. I can only imagine what kind of reputation I have. Through life, we strive to create and foster the best kind of reputation. Based on that, decisions in all aspects of life are made. From time to time, there are those who don’t follow the natural course and go towards a different direction. Then there are those that boldly call themselves La Mauvaise Reputation.

Over the course of doing this search, one of the frequent questions I get, whether it be a joke or not, is about the ever so wonderful fast food burger. I think I’ve made myself clear when it comes to that. But, if I were ever put in a position where I would have to choose one, there’s only one fast food place that would really get my vote and that would be Harvey’s.

Just a little over a year ago, I made a decision that would expand the scope of this Burger Search to include all kinds of burgers. Regardless of what went into them, if a burger was on the menu, it was fair game. With fish, chicken, and shrimp all getting their turn this season, it was time to once again revisit the land of the veggie burger. While some might be turned off by this idea, there are still droves of individuals who look for options like this to carry out their lifestyle. The appropriate place for the second ever veggie burger in this search comes from Crudessence in downtown Montreal.

Have you ever had a meal that you know other people would never agree with you about? About 2 years ago, I visited Deli Planet and had a burger that really surprised me. I didn’t go out of my way to tell everyone how good it was because I just knew that others would probably not see it my way. So, out of nowhere and out of a bit of curiosity, I decided to return to Deli Planet to see if there was consistency.

The trip to New Jersey/New York has now come full circle. For 4 days in the beginning of April, the experience in those two iconic states has been one that shall never be forgotten. At this point, it was time to make our way back home. It was only fitting that since our trip came full circle, that we made one last stop in the Queensbury area to have one last meal as a group.

On the last day of our trip to New York and New Jersey, we set off on our way back to Montreal. Along the way, we needed something to eat and we entered the city of Allendale, New Jersey. Little did we know that we would be stumbling into a special place known as Allendale Eats!
During this Great Burger Search, I’ve always been about reaching the last visit of the season. I’ve always saved the most anticipated burger for last. This being the fourth year of the quest to find great burgers, something just had to give. Sometimes, there are opportunities that are too good to pass up.

Regardless of where you’re living on this planet, you’ve probably heard of this restaurant. The International House of Pancakes is a name that has made many appearances in movies and on television. Though you can’t find one in the province of Quebec, you still aren’t very far from one. IHOP, a breakfast staple, is home to another surprising element to the Burger Search.

Our main destination for our second night in the New York area was at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Me, being the ultimate opportunist that I am, was planning on seeking out any burger I could find in this relatively new building. With New York traffic shutting us out of the first half of the game, this burger might of never happened. In any circumstances, we arrived early enough to get to our seats and for me, to get to Prospect Heights Grill.
Check out how we got here, Prelude to Burger 187.

The first stop in my 4 day trip to the was along the lines of a rest stop. The city of Queensbury popped up at the right time and we were in need of something to eat. It was out of the corner of our eyes where we saw Friendly’s. Friendly’s is an American diner chain that also touts their wide variety of ice cream.
