One of the struggles I’ve always had in my search for anything remotely edible is finding something in the territory of the island of Laval. Whether it be a burger or anything else, I’ve always found myself with the feeling that there’s better out there on the island. A lackluster night and a random suggestion brought us over to a place that relocated from the island of Montreal to Laval called b sweet.
Recently, our group of former co-workers reunited at Sapori di Napoli. After we were somewhat let down by what we found over there, we decided to take dessert to another place. It was Steakman who pitched a Lebanese dessert place in Laval and the fact that I’ve never been sealed the deal.
Located on a very busy artery in Laval, b sweet offers an alternative to the other larger chains that have, for so long, dominated the scene on the island. We arrived pretty late in the evening and we were thankful that things were still going on. There were people eating outside and enjoying whatever it was they ordered. We entered to find quite the interesting decor.
We immediately set our sights at one end of the counter, ready to scour the immense offerings that we had before us. Thanks to the great help that was given to us in the information we received, we were able to easily make our selections. The cakes weren’t labelled, but the staff were more than able to answer our questions.
After we picked what we wanted to eat, we shuffled down the line towards the gelato counter where we added a drink and paid our tab. It was funny because I was looking as the price list and they touted this special iced tea. What came out was a can of iced tea and apparently they sell special canned versions too.
When we finished the whole transaction, we took our desserts to a booth that looked a lot like the picture above. It’s pretty clear that a lot of thought went into the design of the establishment. It has got to be one of the nicest places I’ve ever had a cake in. Then again, it makes me wonder if the decor is compensating for something else. But, if that’s the case, I would only know after tasting the goods.
This was one of my colleague’s cake. If it wasn’t for the fact that I found my own favorite type of cake here, I would have ordered this one because it looks so good. I’m a big fan of Ferrero Rocher. Anyone who wants to buy me off and can’t find bacon won’t be turned away with a box of those.
Chocolate Mousse Cake
This is your standard chocolate mousse cake. I’m not going to go on with details because it really did hit the stop. After the kind of night we had, just about anything would be good. However, this cake was really good and it was the right pick to make.
b sweet offers an alternative when it comes to choosing desserts in the ever growing city of Laval. You have a large selection of cakes, gelato, and other tasty offerings that will be sure to make you happy.
