This restaurant advertises itself as greedy cuisine for an ogre’s appetite. Being an ogre myself, I am very appealed by any restaurant that’s called Guilty Pleasures. The servers are all very cordial. The place fills up very quickly, so it may be a good idea to get a reservation near the end of the week. The restaurant is run by a recognized chef and touts a lot of over-the-top menu items that are pricey but sinfully delicious, or so it could seem. I’d return just to try the other non-burger selections.
Le Plaisir Coupable
This burger contains lettuce, tomatoes, house chipotle mayonnaise, Brie, and bacon.
Upon receiving this burger, I was told to use the knife to cut it in half. In my humble burger quest, I made it a resolution to never cut a burger. That’s been held through except for 2 recent occasions. So, like I am, I didn’t cut the burger. The mayo tasted fine, but a lot of it spurted out very quickly, thus requiring me to use the extra napkins provided with the knife. The burger also lies with a second drawback, the size of the bun. The bun is just too big for the patty. The meat itself is fine, but there was way too much wasted bites having to take down bun. I’ll say that the bacon was also done to my satisfaction as it tasted very well. Despite the 2 drawbacks, this is one of the better tasting burgers to date. The burger ingredient combination worked well together and left me very satisfied.
