This has the distinction of being the first location of 2011 and the 75th overall. Therefore, there were big expectations. I, for one, walked in after 11:00 a.m. but was told that the place didn’t open until 11:30 a.m. That was a little disappointing since their website listed the first time mentioned above. They were kind enough to let me wait inside though. I was also privileged enough to watch the two chefs prep for the day and the two servers listen attentively for the day’s specials. The service was fair. There were some time where I felt like I was too underclassed for the place, but that’s just me.

Kitchenette Burger

This burger contains lettuce, tomatoes, pimento cheese, and bacon. The size of the burger itself presents a challenge. The burger was too big for proper mouth consumption. I found myself taking bites that didn’t include all the ingredients. A proper bite, in my opinion, requires all the elements of a burger. The pimento cheese adds a unique taste to the burger, though I would’ve liked more presence from the bacon. Even though I liked the fries, I found them to be a little too salty. The portion of this burger combination was large. A saw a woman across from me order this and I was wondering if she would’ve ever been able to accomplish such a feat. Overall, I’d say that this burger was worthy enough to be #75.
