I’ll have to say that I had my reservations about going to a Jewish Kosher restaurant. But, after hearing they’re advertising on The Team 990 and the claim of having the best burgers, I had to make the trek. Service, at first, was a bit awkward. I was the only patron in the restaurant for a long while. Though, the server was very cordial to me. I should also note that the name-sake Ernie was sitting in the restaurant for a while. I even had the pleasure of listening to an Orthodox Jew furniture salesman. Interesting experience to say the least.
Kitchen Sink Burger
This burger contains onions, peppers, lettuces, tomatoes, salami, and smoked meat. First of all, the name caught my attention. When I asked what it contained, I was told that this was the combination of all the burgers on the menu. Apparently, I was also the first person ever to order it. Though there’s nothing really wrong with the taste, the burger suffers from the age old problem of stuffing way too much in it. The bun was too small to contain the whole concoction. There was a point where the onions and peppers decided to leave forcing me to rebuild on the spot. This is one big burger and I had doubts on whether or not I’d finish. The sides are also interesting. This was the first time I’d ever had chili as a side dish. The french fries were seasoned and there were a lot of them.
